Welcome from the Director

Welcome to the Suzuki School of Newton's 22nd season----a year that will be filled with music, families and community events.  Our school offers classical music instruction based upon the teaching philosophy of Dr. Shinichi Suzuki where children will learn by ear and which follows the teacher's example or demonstration.  We involve parents in a learning triangle of child-student-parent that all work together to share the joys of music and learning. Our philosophy is to teach children from a very early age a love of music and learning that helps them to grow to become kind-hearted and expressive human beings.  At the Suzuki School of Newton we strive for a nurturing learning environment that follows the pace of each child and allows him or her to develop his own ability----leading to a discovery of self-respect, self-confidence and self-discipline. -Sachiko Isihara
