Observation Before enrolling in the SSN program
Parents are required to observe a minimum of one group lesson, one music lab lesson, and one individual lesson. To schedule an observation please email or call the SSN office at 617-964-4522. Your observation is the starting point in seeing our teachers work with the students.

Interview/Parent Meeting

Once observations have taken place, parents must schedule a personal interview to meet the director in order to discuss and assess the child's readiness to participate in our programs.  Parent Meetings are also scheduled to learn about the programs and the Suzuki method in general.  These meetings give new Suzuki parents an understanding of the commitment involved.

James Thornblade Memorial Scholarship

Scholarships are available based on financial need. Please click here, or contact the office for an application. Applications must be received in the SSN office by July 31, 2008, in order to be considered for the 2008-2009 award year.  An interview with the director is required for consideration.

Tuition

Enrollment includes private lessons, group and solfege classes. Enrollment for individual lessons only is available in rare circumstances. We accept students who study privately outside the SSN to enroll in our group and solfege classes by audition. A payment plan must be initiated, or full payment must be made by the official start of the semester (see current calendar for exact dates). Instruction will be suspended if the office does not receive confirmation of payment by this date. Checks, Visa and MasterCard are accepted for full payment. If you wish to set up a payment plan please submit 3 postdated checks (contact office for specific dates), or provide a credit card number. New enrollments after the fourth week of classes are only eligible for a plan of two (2) payments.

Visa and MasterCard are accepted for full payments.

Finance Fees

A finance fee of $50 will be added to the tuition bill for payments not made in advance of the first lesson, as will a $20 fee if your checks are returned from the bank for any reason. Payment in arrears of two lessons will result in termination of enrollment in the school.

Refund Policy

The school will refund 75% of tuition if written notice of withdrawal is given within the first two weeks of the semester, 50% in the third week and 25% in the fourth week. There are no refunds after the fifth lesson or for "group only" or "music lab only" registrants. The annual registration fee is non-refundable.
